Citizen's Action Project

Who We Are

The Citizens Action Project (CAP) was formed in January of 2007 by a group of Grayslake, Illinois home owners concerned about the property assessment practices within Lake County. We have incorporated as a non-profit 501 (c)(4) organization under state law. CAP volunteers have put together a report which is intended to illuminate the unfair and inconsistent assessment practices we found in our research. The full report may be read and/or printed from the link below. It describes the situations we found and calls upon the Lake County Board to restore

to property assessment practices within Lake County.
